Activities..

Boro Day Commemoration and Rally... The 40th Boro Day Anniversary and commemoration took place this year with a memorial lecture on the the 15th of May and rallies at Yenagoa and Kaima respectively on the 16th of May 2008. As early as 9:00 am that Friday morning, members of the IYC had assembled at the peace building in Yenagoa and were chanting songs and accolades to the Hero and living legend of the Niger Delta emancipation struggle Major Isaac Adaka Boro. From the Peace Building, the president of the IYC national, Dr. Chris Ekiyor then led the procession round major streets and roads in Yenagoa. After the Yenagoa Procession, they left for Kiama where the grand finale of the Isaac Adaka Boro Day celebration took place. See pictures of the historic event below
