11th December 2008 was a day that all Niger Deltans and the entire Nigeria will not forget easily as  it was the day the IYC and all Niger Deltans marked the 10th Anniversary of the KAIMA DECLERATION.   The ceremony was well attended by Notable Ijaw sons and elders including Ijaw Elders. Among the many dignitaries were  Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo- Asari, Felix Tuodolo, Ann Kio Briggs, T.K Ogoriba, Timi Amarah, Chief Agamene  and a host of others . TMembers of the IYC Excutive council were  all available as well as some top government functionaries from within and outside the Niger Delta. The High point of the celebration was the presentation of Scholarship Award to  two children of  the Community Leader of Kaima Chief Ofonima who died during the day of the initial declaration.
